Slow Jewellery
Helping to preserve the environment and its precious resources is at the core of SLAB Jewellery’s ethos. Every piece of SLAB Jewellery is one-of-a-kind, handmade in my Bristol workshop using traditional goldsmithing techniques, recycled silver and gold, and antique tools.
I use the ancient lost-wax casting technique, hand-carving each skull ring and rose crown in wax to give every piece its unique, handcrafted appeal. I work with casting houses that use solely recycled precious metals, and in turn I save every scrap of excess metal for reuse. Jewellery has been recycled this way for thousands of years, from the original Memento Mori jewellery to my own interpretation, and in continuing this cycle I create timeless treasure with minimal impact on the planet.
