Slow Jewellery
Living and working sustainably is so important to me. Using recycled Sterling Silver and Gold, and packed in recyled and recyclable materials, SLAB Jewellery treads lightly on our planet. I carefully consider everything with sustainability in mind, from sourcing raw materials to packaging and delivery. I’m committed to making SLAB Jewellery the best it can be, and I’m always trying to improve my processes.
I work with Jewelcast Castings to get my original hand carved waxes cast into recycled silver and gold. Most of my jewellery is made to order, and my main collection is crafted in small batches to help minimise waste.
low impact packaging
Jewellery packaging needs to protect your brand new SLAB Jewellery on its journey to you, and it also needs to work with the hand carved jewellery nestled within. I’m super proud of the packaging I’m currently using, and I’m always thinking about how it could be improved. I use only FSC certified and recycled packaging, designed in such a way that there is minimal separation needed to recycle it.
Recycled cardboard boxes, with no foam insert.

SUPPLIERS
I work hard to research all my suppliers to ensure they match up with my eco-friendly ethos, and I am always looking for ways to improve sustainability along my entire supply chain. My suppliers include:
Ashley House and Marc the Printers for my business cards and jewellery care information. Both printers use vegetable inks and print onto recycled materials. Marc the Printers use Riso printing machines which are one of the greenest forms of printing.
Get Stamped for my logo stamp. Created using green rubber and a recycled wooden handle, the whole stamp is low carbon and completely compostable.
Westpack for my jewellery boxes, tissue paper and paper tape. My boxes are made from a combination of recycled materials and FSC certified cardboard.
Lil packaging for my postage boxes. Again, these are FSC certified and are folded together so there’s no added glue.
